Accessibility Statement

This is the official Accessibility Statement for Exam Tuition.

Keyboard Access

Most browsers support jumping to specific links by typing keys defined on the web site. This is useful for people who have difficulty using a mouse. On Windows, you can press ALT + an access key; on Macintosh, you can press Control + an access key.

All pages on this site define the following access keys:

  • Access key 1 - Home page
  • Access key 2 - Courses & Fees Page
  • Access key 3 - Students Page
  • Access key 4 - Guarantee Page
  • Access key 5 - Exam Page
  • Access key 6 - Sample papers Page
  • Access key 7 - Links Page
  • Access key 8 - Contacts Page
  • Access key 0 - Accessibility statement

On each page a 'skip to main content' link allows direct access past the navigation bars to the page's main content, which should make it easier to read the pages content if you are using a screen-reader or other assistive technologies.

  • Access key S - Skip Navigation

Features to enhance the site's accessibility

The following features have been provided to help make our site as accessible as possible to as many people as possible:

  • All text should be resizable using your browser's text-resize option
  • If you use your own style sheet, it can be applied to allow changes in the site's appearance without affecting the readability or accessibility of the information
  • HTML heading elements have been used to represent page structure, supporting assistive technologies that allow page navigation from heading to heading
  • All hyperlinks should make sense when read out of context, and hyperlinks change colour when the destination page has been visited
  • All images have been given appropriate alternative text
  • A navigation bar linking to the main sections of the site is provided at the top and bottom of each page
  • The site has been tested to ensure that it is accessible in a wide range of browsers

Standards compliance

  1. All pages on this site are WCAG AA approved, complying wih all priority 1, 2 guidelines of the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. This is a judgement call; many guidelines are intentionally vague and can not be tested automatically.
  2. All pages on this site validate as XHTML 1.0 Strict using the W3C markup validator.
  3. All stylesheets should validate using the W3C CSS validator
  4. All pages on this site use structured semantic markup. H1 tags are used for main titles, H2 tags for subtitles.

  1. Links have title attributes which describe the link in greater detail.
  2. Links are written to make sense out of context.

  1. All content images used in this site include descriptive ALT attributes. Purely decorative graphics include null ALT attributes.
  2. Complex images include LONGDESC attributes or inline descriptions to explain the significance of each image to non-visual readers.

Visual design

  1. This site uses cascading style sheets for visual layout.
  2. This site uses only relative font sizes, compatible with the user-specified "text size" option in visual browsers.
  3. If your browser or browsing device does not support stylesheets at all, the content of each page is still readable.
