All course are suitable for both mature students and home educated pupils.
GCSE English Language Tuition
For the Initial Assessment you will be asked to write two short essays. The purpose of these is for the tutor to gauge your ability and therefore to set out a suitable programme of study.
Most students will then complete between twenty and thirty pieces of work; detailed marking and feedback from each will enable you refine your skills and to move up to the next level.
There is no ‘Coursework’, no obscure poetry and no Shakespeare. The exam consists
of a single three hour Paper, particularly suited to mature students.
The syllabus will be an iGCSE: either Edexcel 4EB0 or AQA 8705.
The examinations are available in Summer (May/June ) or Janauary.
